Galvanised sheet

Galvanised sheet is a steel sheet that has undergone a hot immersion process that 100% coats )coats it with zinc )the sheet with zinc, in order to prevent corrosion. The zinc coating chemically joins the steel base by means of a metallurgical chemical reaction between the zinc and the steel at 450ºC.

On removing the steel from the bath several surface layers of zinc-iron alloy are formed on which the zinc has solidified. These are harder than the steel base. The treatment must be in accordance with ISO 1461 (Galvanised iron and steel coatings).

Cold-rolled products are in low carbon steel for cold forming or cold rolling (UNE EN 10346:2010), and are supplied in the following formats:

a. If the elastic limit is not pronounced, the values refer to the conventional elastic limit at 0.2% or Rp0.2. If the elastic limit is pronounced, the values apply to the lower elastic limit ReL.

b. The minimum lengthening values fall 4 units for thicknesses t ≤ 0.50 mm and 2 units for thicknesses between 0.50 mm < 1 ≤ 0.70 mm.

c. This value applies only to skin passed products (surface ratings B and C).

d. For < 1.50 mm, the minimum r90 value falls 0.2

e. For < 0.70 mm, the minimum r90 value falls 0.2 and the minimum n90 value falls by 0.01.

f. The minimum stretch for DX55D+AS products that do not follow the systematic order must be indicated. The steel, DX55D+AS has better thermal resistance.
